Ember Call-Out 2024: Updated Timeline

In early July, we invited community-based mental health organisations working in low- and middle-income countries to apply for Ember’s next cohort of partners. The response has been absolutely amazing, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to apply.
We received over 1800 applications from initiatives in more than 90 countries. Due to this overwhelming response, our team will need a bit more time to review each application carefully.
Here’s the updated timeline for the selection process:
Round 1: Application submission
The Ember Call-out was launched on July 9, 2024, and closed on August 20, 2024.
Round 2: Application Review and Feedback
Our team has reviewed all applications, and we’ve reached out to each applicant about the status of their submission.
Interviews are being conducted on a rolling basis and will continue through November 2024.
Round 3: Final Selection Process
The final round will take place between December 2024 and February 2025.
After the initial interview, you will receive an email from an Ember team member by February 2025, informing you whether you have progressed to the next round.
If successful, we will arrange a longer interview with other team members to discuss your work in more detail. You will then be placed on a shortlist, which will be submitted to our independent advisory group, the Ember Working Group, for the final decision.
Final selection decisions will be communicated by May 2025. If you are not selected, you will receive detailed feedback on your application.
Partnerships with the selected initiatives will formally begin in June 2025 and conclude in June 2026.
