G4G aims to empower survivors of gender-based violence and their caregivers, and other marginalized people who face violence and stigma, to live full, healthy lives with autonomy and self-determination, and to build resilient communities where they can access justice. They do this by creating safe spaces where survivors and care-givers can process their trauma and begin a journey of healing and recovery in a community of lived experience.

At Girls for Girls, a community of lived experience, healing is not a solitary journey—it’s a collective dance, a symphony of survival.

This survivor-led NGO provides holistic support to those affected by sexual and gender-based violence, empowering them with mental health care, educational assistance, and legal aid.

Their holistic approach transforms trauma into strength, creating a vibrant community where survivors and caregivers thrive, reclaiming their lives with autonomy and dignity.

Programmes like Kigoda Therapy Circles provide a safe space for survivors to share their stories, symbolising respect and empowerment through the African tradition of the Kigoda stool.

By fostering safe spaces and integrating with public services, they provide a unique path to recovery and justice.
